  • Description: Mother was charged with Involuntary Manslaughter for permitting her son to die in a pool outside her home.

Seaman v Peterson, 762 F.Supp.2d 1363, Macon, GA

  • Outcome: District Court children permitted my client to take her children back to Mexico with her.
  • Description: Father abducted children from Mother's custody in Mexico. Father convinced Georgia Juvenile Court Judge to give him custody. Mom sued in Federal Court for return of children in Middle District of Georgia pursuant to Hague Convention.

State v Barnwell, 07CR-252

  • Case Conclusion Date: October 10, 2008
  • Practice Area/Court: Criminal Defense – Ben Hill Superior Court
  • Outcome: Acquittal on all charges
  • Description: Client was charged of committing Aggravated Child Molestation against his 4 year-old daughter. Client turned down straight probation and elected to go to trial in tense week-long trial.

Dean vs. State, 292 Ga. App. 695

  • Outcome: Client's appeal was denied.
  • Description: Client was convicted while represented by another attorney at trial. Appointed to represent on appeal and raised issues concerning the validity of custodial interrogation and sufficiency of facts.

Cauley v State, 287 Ga. App. 701

State v. Cauley, 282 Ga. App. 191

  • Outcome: Grant of Summary Judgment Affirmed
  • Description: Client was injured while working on a county fire department detail. He was an inmate. Filed suit on behalf of client and alleged that, in part, Fire Chief was incompetent, unqualified, and ordered an illegal controlled burn without following proper guidelines. Trial Court granted summary judgment, based on qualified immunity and sovereign immunity, and we appealed

McCulley v State, 273 Ga. 40

  • Outcome: Conviction affirmed
  • Description: Successfully prosecuted McCulley in Superior Court for premeditated gunning down of ex-Boyfriend while he was coming out of his house. Defendant appealed and handled the appeal for the State.

Davis v State, 244 Ga. App. 708

  • Case Conclusion Date: June 29, 2000

  • Outcome: Conviction Affirmed
  • Description: Successfully prosecuted defendant for randomly shooting and robbing two men walking along the streets of Perry. Following his conviction, defendant sought an appeal.

Miller v State, 241 Ga. App. 397
